About the speakers

Kolton Andrus

CTO
Gremlin

Kolton is the founder and CTO of Gremlin. Previously he was CEO, building the initial product, team, and company to $10M in ARR. Before founding Gremlin, Kolton was an engineer and leader at both Amazon and Netflix, building their internal Chaos Engineering platforms and guiding the implementation of the practice leading to another 'nine' of uptime for both companies. Early in his career, Kolton worked for several start-ups and holds a BS and MS in Computer Science.

Tammy Butow

Principal SRE
Gremlin

Tammy Butow is a Principal SRE at Gremlin where she works on Chaos Engineering, the facilitation of controlled experiments to identify systemic weaknesses. Gremlin helps engineers build resilient systems using their control plane and API. Tammy previously led SRE teams at Dropbox responsible for Databases and Storage systems used by over 500 million customers. Prior to this Tammy worked at DigitalOcean and one of Australia's largest banks in Security Engineering, Product Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering.

Jason Yee

Director of Advocacy
Gremlin

Jason Yee is director of advocacy at Gremlin where he helps people build more resilient systems by learning from how they fail. He also leads the internal chaos engineering practices to make Gremlin more reliable. Previously, he worked at Datadog, O’Reilly Media, and MongoDB. His pandemic-coping activities include drinking whiskey, cooking everything in a waffle iron, and making chocolate.
